Jack McElligott’s Kilgarvan Herd is one of the largest private herds of Kerries in Ireland.
Based in North Kerry, in Ballylongford, he does not dehorn his cattle, which is quite unique. Dehorning is not compulsory for pedigree cattle and his herd have an authentic and commanding presence for this reason. Jack is a dedicated member of the Kerry Cattle Society and has served on the committee in various capacities over the years. He is truly passionate about the breed and his herd.
